Locales 1

Commonwealth Stadium:

The arena has quickly become the team's "on duty" headquarters of sorts. It is essentially vacant in the winter and provides a convienent meeting place for everyone away from prying eyes. The privacy the walls provide has been very conducive to many a scene of The Nightcrawler interrogating a hapless evil-doer. In a few months it will be home to hundereds of cheering fans.

Dame Vera:

The estate of Sir William Eric Paine aka Glassjack. It is located on Winchester Road, near Clark County east of Lexington. It was here that his powers first manifested themselves when he defended himself from attack by the Treble Man, a burglar with the ability to duplicate himself. Fury, Nightcrawler, Reflector, and Sound defeated the evil plot the villainous La Plante had to control the property. The group tends to meet here for "off duty" discussion and training.

deSha's:

"The finest eatery in Lexington that accepts blue jeans" was the setting for a meeting between Carl, Chuck Marston (his agent) and (unexpectedly for Carl) Manuel Fortuna (reporter for La Boca, a Hispanic newspaper). Marston had called in Fortuna in an attempt to garner media attention for Carl's break with the Islanders. Simply put: Carl was not having it!

Doubletree Suites/Clementine's:

The Doubletree is a hotel on Richmond Road that contains the jazz club/restaurant Clementine's It was also here that Mark saw Lydia conspiring with a mysterious male figure who's facial features were obscured. The group had there first encounter with the Purple Mask here (what would prove to be The Reflector's last battle) while they were pursuing leads to the location of Jason Faulkner, SORTie #7 who had gone on a murderous rampage in police HQ.

Faulkner Bail Bonds Co.:

Started by Jonathan and Jim Faulkner the daily running of the company was passed on to Josh and Jake when their father became too ill. The brothers were at the office when their abilities manifested for the first time in battle with the Blademorph, Clement Dodge. It was also here that Jake announced his intent to leave The Millennium to Sound. Recently, Jake received an offer from Texas bail bondsman, Wade Watterson to buy the family out lock, stock, and barrel for an impressive 3 million dollars...

Fortune Motel:

This place is a grade-A dump. Shelly (RSDs manager) was hiding out here after it became apparent that she was manipulated by Norm Carnelie of SONY and as a result was indirectly responsible for the attack on the band by the Sigil. Amanda contacted Dominique who's psychic powers discovered Shelly at the hotel in the process of committing suicide. Fortunately, Amanda was able to rescue her in time.

Jalepeno's

The site of Amanda and Josh's first official date. Amanda took Josh here as a birthday/"thanks for giving me the lead with Red Sky" present. The two discussed over candle light a number of "near misses" in their lives. Apparently the camarones Acapulcos are quite good tho' neither Amanda or Josh could tell you that...

Lexington Police Department Main Headquarters:

162 East Main Street is the address for the main branch of the LPD and SORT. Jason Faulkner aka Seven went on a murderous rampage killing two officers and injuring several others while under the influence of Lydia Morry's awesome powers in some fiendish scheme orchestrated by The Purple Mask. Once a place guaranteed to give The Brothers Faulkner a warm welcome the two are now persona non grata.

Park Place Apartments:

Josh Faulkner and Dominique Parisi call this complex home. The Main Street branch of the Public Library occupies the bottom five floors. So far, it hasn't burnt down to the ground (knock on wood) <g>. Metal shelves hold his vast music collection, stereo, TV, VCR, and pulp and Latin American novels in paperback. On the walls themselves are old, framed black and white photos of Manhattan at the turn of the last century and through the 50s.

Red Mile:

The Red Mile is a harness racing track located on (you guessed it) Red Mile road near South Broadway. Horseman, Herschel Ellis used this has his site for a huge money laundering/drug trade with the Double C's and The Silvers. The Millennium (with some unexpected help from Glassjack) was able to capture all parties except Ellis who was slain by a fleeing gang member.

Red Sky Diary Mansion:

The mansion is a three story house half mile south of Man-o-War drive on Richmond Road. Most of the first floor is dedicated to studio space and offices. Amanda Halle has a room on the third floor which Jonas christened with a handmade sign written in crayon saying "No Boys Allowed." It is luxurious with a private bath.

St. Joseph's Hospital:

When Amanda saved Shelly's life this happened to be the nearest facility. The PIs hired to watch the hospital ERs and such alerted RSD and they were there in a heartbeat. It was here that Jonas revealed Shelly's involvement with the Sigil. Josh arrived soon after and he and Amanda discreetly stood guard in case the assassins dare show up again to tie up their "beautiful loose end" as Fate put it. It was here that Josh first struggled with his concerns about his feelings for Amanda and "the vibe".

Transylvania University:

Chase Ulrich was visiting this school along with a number of other high school seniors. He took a break to skate at a construction site across North Broadway...where he was ambushed by Coach Meyers aka Eightball. Ulrich was able to dispatch his nemesis without displaying his powers.

Triangle Park:

Did I hear you say property damage?!? The Chlorophyll Criminal, La Plante targeted for death a civilian named Ken Perloff who works in the area. Coincidentally, three heroes from Indianapolis: Brickyard, Imp, and Indigo chose this location to wait patiently in the hopes of meeting their "brothers [and sisters] in arms"...namely the Millennium. Toss in some SORT troops and newly discovered powered Harry Marvin and you have the recipe for a huge mess. Speaking of huge...did I mention that after his nefarious creations were defeated La Plante constructed a 60 foot tall monster out of the park itself?

University of Kentucky:

Jake has recently re-enrolled in the school after years of abscence. While studying in the library one day he encountered individuals he he "vibed" on -- only time will tell what happens with this thread. His new life as a student has allowed him to make friendly aquantinces as well, namely a young lacrosse player named Rachel. It was at the Singletary Center for the Arts on the UK campus that Amanda first used her flame abilities and quickly defeated Shock, an evil powered with electrical talents.

Wiles Department Store:

A decrepit abandoned store front where Carl first transformed into the Nightcrawler under the care of Mr. Book. The group first assembled here after the New Year's Day battle with the Luminaries. Jake had his first "vibe" incident with SORT #7 in the space. Later the group met there in preparation for the attack on the Double Cs at the Red Mile.
